I love creating my own characters and seeing them “grow up” from a lifeless 3D model into a fully functional extension of myself that can move and jump and do silly things. I am most passionate about the actual animation of my characters, but I also thoroughly enjoy the processes that come before and after, whether it be rigging or compositing. I get to be an actor with animation, a technical nitpicker and programmer with rigging, and a filmmaker with post-processing. What more could I ask for?

I created this 3d animated short for my Senior Thesis project at Marist College. It took me a long 15 weeks to complete, but it was definitely worth it. It features a quirky trash-collecting hermit crab who sets off to sea in search of adventure. I used Maya, After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Audition along the way.
Made for one of my classes, as a deviation from what I usually make. The elephants were created and rendered in Maya using some toon shaders and everything else is a combination of After Effects and Premiere. This was a totally different style from what I'm used to, so it was mostly an experiment for myself to broaden my skills.
Demo Reel: A collection of personal pieces, animations completed during my Sony ImageWorks internship, and animations completed during my Zindagi Games internships. I am responsible for all animation for the Sony/Zindagi works, but otherwise, I am responsible for everything (modelling, lighting, rigging, animation, etc).

  • 'Zeddley' (Zedd - Clarity, Lost at Sea, Spectrum, and Hourglass)

Well this one has been a long time coming... If you haven't heard the originals, GO LISTEN because they're awesome. There's some audio syncing problems from when I recorded it, but I did my best to fix it. It's not perfect but hopefully not too distracting at least!

  • 'Little Talks of Home' Of Monsters and Men / Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

Mashup Cover of "Little Talks" by Of Monsters and Men and "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. I've always thought they sounded nearly identical... It's about time they get mashed together! Hope you guys like it; please leave me comments! (P.s. Sorry I've been in musical hibernation)

As always, I do not own any bit of these songs. No copyright infringement intended, all material © the original bands/labels.

  • Almost Lover vs. Hazy (Cover)

"Almost Lover" by A Fine Frenzy and "Hazy" by Rosi Golan ft William Fitzsimmons.

It's been a while! New originals are coming... slowly. Sometime soon I'll record the Youtube originals for real also so I can have some actual downloads again. I've been obsessed with these two songs for the last few weeks and it's about time I posted something, right? Hope ya like it!

  • Sarah Carmody - Wreckless Girl (original)

New song: Feisty... just how you all like them. Tell me what you think! I was trying out a new tuning (open G) so in particular, let me know if you liked the sound of my guitar better than my other videos which are in standard. This is also why I was looking at my guitar the whole time, sorry! Can't do these by feel yet.

Ripped it from Youtube. My present to you, so don't get too excited:

  • Nobody Knows How to Love (Lil Wayne / The Weepies / John Grant cover)

Disregard the awkward angle, my webcam is throwing a fit again so I used a real camera.

  • Sarah Carmody - Oops! (original)

Long time, no song! This is dedicated to a friend that I live vicariously through on a daily basis -- hey you, enjoy your song. May it fill your emo heart with joy haha :3

Tell me what you guys think!

  • Christina Perri Mashup (Bluebird / Distance / Miles / The Lonely)

Obsessed with her new CD... it's kind of the story of my life. So I took my favorite parts of my favorite songs and mashed them together -- you know the drill by now. Welcome to my life. If you like this, please check out my original CDs and other covers! And PS, thank you to everyone who's supported me thus far :)

  • Ode to Capt'n Jack Sparrow (Hoist the Colors + Lonely Island Cover)

To everyone's favorite pirate, Capt'n Jack Sparrahhh. Combination of The Lonely Island and 'Hoist the Colors' from Pirates the III. This is also the premiere of my awesome new red acoustic-electric. Yarrrgg.

  • Sarah Carmody - I Write You Songs (Original)

AKA the packing is getting to me and I'm going crazy and I'm all alone in my suite. New original... hope you like. I'm going to actually record this and my other recent ones in the very near future. This one, "Valentine," and "It's Not Me, It's YOUUU" plus more because for whatever reason I've been cranking them out lately. (Meaning, I wrote songs in place of doing my finals. It's cool though I'm the queen of procrastination).
